About Me

Hi Readers! My name is Lisa and I have lived in Lansing, Michigan since 2011 after moving here from the west side of the state. I grew up near here so I am thrilled to be back closer to family and friends. I have a social work degree & a paralegal degree. I am an out of work caregiver for the elderly and disabled. I am looking to start my own caregiver business.  I do volunteer work with my local humane society. I am a member of my local Lions Club as well. This blog is my first step to improve my writing. I This blog will be about finding hope, inspiration, and motivation in our daily life. It will be about not giving up on your dreams. My goal is to create another blog or two down the road. I love to read and write. Someday I hope be published. In the mean time, I write for fun and I will continue to work towards that goal. I know the difficulties I face with publishing my work, but I will succeed. I enjoy people and hope to help others in some way through this blog. I am a strong person and will face and deal with any struggles thrown my way. We are all human and each face our own unique challenges in this world. I hope to make your struggles a little easier.  Feel free to follow my blog & leave comments. Thank you.

  1. Hi your blog is amazing . I like to read about the motivation , hope and happiness of life. what an interesting blog you have 🙂

  2. Lisa,
Thank you for following “A Way With Words.” My joy in writing is made more complete when people read what I’ve written — and even more as they respond.
I write primarily about faith and mental illness, but am known to dabble in other subjects, stories, and even the occasional poem. If you have any requests, please let me know.
I appreciate what you have going here with your blog. I believe you will find, as I have, that the more we write and respond to what we read, the more effective we become as writers. I pray you are blessed in your life and writing, as you bless others (including your feline friend in the photo).
    Gratefully,
    Tony Roberts

    • Thank you so much for the comment and the follow. I look forward to reading more of what you have written. Thank you for the advice of being more effective as a writer. Thank you for the blessings.

  3. I wish you the greatest success. I think we live in unusually lucky times for writers because of the growing success of independent writers in fiction and nonfiction. I’ve recently switched careers and am having the time of my life blogging and dreaming of making it as an indie writer. Welcome to the fun!!! 🙂

  4. Hi Lisa I find your blog theme ‘Live a better life’ to be very inspiring. Yes life is much about Hope and Inspiration and my blog has moved into this field by serendipity.
    With good wishes and regards.
